Instructional Design & Technology Master's Program Capstone Project
The Instructional Design & Technology Capstone course is a culminating experience designed to show my progression in the Master's Degree Program. My Capstone Project involved creating a fully online, asynchronous professional development course for new online instructors that will be implemented at the University of Idaho. This course is one of a four-part series entitled Strategies for the Online Instructor. The first course addresses the topic Build a Learning Community. During the eight week course I demonstrated my ability to create a real-world online learning course including conception, planning, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. My role was that of instructional designer, subject matter expert, programmer, multimedia specialist, evaluation specialist, and facilitator. The course was tested during a 8-day pilot by University of Idaho online instructors and supporting staff. The course was designed based on the ADDIE Model.
